2014's hottest housing market: Salt Lake City
The sales of single - family homes in the Salt Lake City metro market is expected to continue to grow and should be the nations hottest housing market according to Zillow and Zillow's economist Krishna Rao.
Rao joins the University of Utah's director of Economic and Business Reasearch James Wood in citing the increase in Jobs, the low unemployment rate and the increasing population (3.3% in 2013) as reasons that demand for homes will continue to be strong.
Zillow predicts that Salt Lake City will see medium home valuse raise 4.2% this year, while Wood expects prices to raise between 5-7% in 2014.
